CLARENCE E. ALBERT-- OWNER OF LAFONA MILLS--

Clarence E. Albert, 91, of the Episcopal Apartments, Washington Township, Pa., formerly of Plainfield Township, Pa., died Monday in Muhlenburg Medical Center, Bethlehem, Pa.

He was the husband of the late Emma Heaney Wagner, who died March 19, 1978

He and his wife were the former owners and operators of the Lafona Feed Mills in Plainfield Township for many years, retiring in 1971.

Earlier in his life, he had worked in the hosiery mills in Bangor, Pa., and farmed in Bushkill township, Pa.

Born in Factoryville, Washington Township, on June 8, 1898, he was the son of the late Joseph and Edna ( Bitz ) Albert.

He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Plainfield Township, where he served on the church council and choir for many years. He also served on the Plainfield Church Cemetery Board for many years.

He was a 64 year member of the Aluta Lodge 488, IOOF and the Aluta Odd Fellows Encampment. He was also a member of the Lutheran Church Men and the Senior Citizens of Wind Gap.

He is survived by three daughters, Helen Huff of Easton, Grace Weidman, of Ackermanville, Pa., and Shirley Ealey of Plainfield Township; one brother, Walter of Nazareth; one sister, Ruth Teel of Lock Heights, Bangor; seven Grandchildren and seven Great-Grandchildren.

A daughter, Ruth Muller, died in January.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm. Friday from St. Peter's Lutheran Church, with interment in Plainfield Church cemetery, in Plainfield Township, Pa. The Schmidt Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements
