HOLLAND, Lucy David, 89, of Penhook, died Tuesday, April 14, 1998, at Eldercare of Franklin County. She was born May 24, 1908, the last descendent of the late Thomas E. and Virginia Orange David. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, H. Albert Holland, who passed away February 5, 1998. She also was preceded in death by three sisters, Jimmie D. Brooks, Annie D. Saunders and Etta D. Carter, and three brothers, Henry David, Joe David and Lester David. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and Marie Holland of Rocky Mount, and Landon and Nova Holland and Emmett Holland, all of Penhook; four grandchildren, Janice Holland of Dallas, Texas, Reid and Ann Taylor of Danville, Benny and Donna Holland of Fishersville and Patti Holland of Rocky Mount; four great-grandchildren, Brandon Holland, Melissa and Karli Rigney and Beth Ann Taylor, and special niece, Effie Holland.
