Our precious little Mother passed away on December 2, 2010.
She was born March 10, 1923, to Lucille and Marsalis Klein in Edison, Nebraska, where she was educated and lived most of her youth.
She attended business college in Nebraska and then moved to San Francisco and Salt Lake City during the war years where she worked at Fort Douglas driving military personnel around. She met and married Darrel P. Gray in 1946.
She traveled with her husband to Mexico and Spain, and they traveled to Hawaii and went on camping trips to Island Park, Idaho with a group of friends, the "Funseekers." She and Darrel returned to Edison yearly where her girls spent each summer with their Grandparents Klein.
She worked for Dairyland Insurance and retired from Architectural Specialties. After suffering a paralyzing stroke in 2003, she was cared for by her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Darrel.
She is survived by her three daughters: Vicki Lee Gray, Gail Springer and her daughters, Chelsea (Travis Clinton) and Carly Cressey (Keith) and their daughter, Veronique; and Darla Hansford (Dave) and their daughter, Tracy.
Our special thanks go to her patient and tender caregivers Britanee, Nichole, Michelle, and Nurse Yolanda of Care Source; and Edith and Virginia; and also to her compassionate neighbors Marge and Andy, Gwen and Dee; and her son-in-law Dave, who sheltered and protected her.
Memorial will be held in late Spring.
