Jimmy Bostic passed away Monday, Nov. 29, 2010. He was born in Rotan, Texas, on Sept. 17, 1940, to Cleva (Campbell) and Bryce Bostic. Jimmy married Frances Brown on Dec. 2, 1961, in Abilene. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Jimmy was retired as a police officer with the Dallas Police Department and was a member of First Baptist Church of Cleburne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
Jimmy Bostic is survived by his wife, Frances Bostic of Cleburne; sons, Bryce Bostic of Fort Worth and Michael Bostic and wife, Janet, of Midlothian; granddaughter, Bridgette Andrews of Cleburne and Shannon Gascoyne; grandsons, Scott Bostic and Trey Bostic, both of Midlothian, and Ryan Miller; great-grandchildren, Gage and Lola Andrews, both of Cleburne; sister, Sandra Vasquez and husband, Frank, of Moore, Okla.; six nieces; and one nephew.
Memorials may be made to the Happy Hills Farm Academy, 3846 N. Hwy 144 Granbury, TX 76048, or the North Texas Humane Society, 1840 E. Lancaster, Fort Worth, TX 76103-2124.
