Mrs. Jewel D. Terral, age 76 of Dodson, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield.
Born Thursday, November 8, 1934 in Atlanta, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late "Bud" Barton and the late Annie Keith Barton. She was also preceded in death by her huband of 48 years, Billy Terral, brothers, Leroy Barton, Paul Barton, Blanchard Barton and Bill Barton, sisters, Nettie Hanson and Willie Folden.
Mrs. Terral was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Renee Carpenter and husband Gary of Dodson, LA, son, Kenneth Terral and wife Yvonne of Jonesboro, LA, daughter, Regina Sanders and husband Dewayne of Joyce, LA and daughter, Betty Maloy and husband Jarrell of Winnfield, LA; 8 grand children; 11 great grand children, and life-long friends, Martha Stone and Betty Hanson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield. Interment will be in Transport Cemetery, Dodson, LA.
Brian Sanders, Dewayne Sanders, Jaron Maloy, Jarrell Maloy, Josh Dietrich, and Stephen Carpenter will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Carpenter and Kenneth Terral.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, and Thursday from 8:00 AM until service time at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield.
