MRS. FOSTER, 91, DIES; FUNERAL SET
Mrs. Ludia Elizabeth Foster, died at 5 a.m. Friday in the Sunnydale Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for the past five years.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Elliott's Chapel of Memories with the Rev. T. Gerald Cates, pastor of Highland Park Baptist Church, officiating. He will be assisted by Dr. Elbert G. Peak, pastor of Corinth Baptist Church, and the Rev. Cecil Gammill, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Lakeside, Tex.
Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park beside the grave of her husband, with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Born July 1, 1875 in Talladega, Ala., she moved to Nashville, Ark., with her parents as a five-year-old girl. She married Henry David Foster in Dierks, Ark., July 20, 1890.
They moved to Abilene from Mineral Wells in 1936, and in 1961, celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary here. He died Jan. 14, 1962.
She was a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, O.T. Of 1409 Oak, and Otis of 1958 Sycamore; a daughter Mrs. Ethel Malone of Snyder; two brothers, B.W. Gammill of Fort Worth and Arthur Gammill of Mineral Springs, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Farley and Mrs. Dora Ferguson both of Nashville, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. One grandson, Reese Foster, was killed in a car wreck near here last January.
The family will be staying at 1958 Sycamore.
