Leland F. Dana, 77, passed away Monday, March 19, 1990 in a Great Falls Nursing Home following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Fort Benton. Interment will be in Big Sandy cemetery.
Lee was born Nov. 2, 1912 in Ogden, Utah to Edward and Nellie Dana. He practiced many trades during his lifetime--farmer, steel worker, carpenter, trapper and trucker. He moved to Montana in 1950, retiring to Loma in 1973.
He met LaRue Kidd in Declo, Idaho and they were married in Ogden, Utah, Aug. 5, 1933. They had six children.
Survivors include his wife, LaRue Kidd Dana; his children, Lou Dean Jolley of Fort Benton; Freda Young, Costa Mesa, Calif.; Marva Cook, Big Sandy; Layne Dana, Harlowton; Guy Dana, Salem, Ore.; and Calvin Dana, Great Falls; four brothers, three sisters, 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and nieces and nephews.
One sister and three grandchildren preceded him in death.
