Mr. Whinery, Rt. 3, Lufkin, died Friday, February 17, in a Nacogdoches hospital. An Angelina County resident for most of his life, he was retired from the City of Lufkin Water Dept. and was a member of a Baptist Church.
Survivors: son, Marvin; brothers, G. C. Whinery and J. C. Whinery; sister, Mrs. Juanita Robinson; brother-in-law, Arnold Johnson; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Pallbearers: Paul Whinery, Chris Whinery, Bill Hambrick, Tommy Wilson, Eddie Johnson and Ekron Brookshire.
