FUNERAL SET
HERE MONDAY

Final tribute will be paid to Thomas F. (Junior) Arrington, 38-year-old Carlsbad businessman who died Saturday at a Roswell hospital. The funeral is scheduled for 9:30 Monday morning at St. Edwards Church. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Victor Waller.

Rosary will be read at 6 p.m. today at the West Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Carlsbad Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Butch Anderson, Delores Mendoza, Oral Nichols Jr., Cecil Ginanni, Robert Tidwell and Albert Fisher. Honorary pallbearers will be Hugh Hall, Enea Grandi Sr., Kenneth Mon, Sam Tracy, Bill Meadows, Charles James. T.P. Hanson, Herb Bindel, Richard Marek, J.D. Kirkes and Dr. James P. Sullivan.

Born March 12, 1921, at Plainview, Ark., Arrington had lived in Carlsbad for the past 37 years. He attended school here and married Katherine Martin in 1941. He served in the U.S. Navy Seabee Construction Battalion from 1943 until 1945 during World War II.

Owner and operator of the Arrington Welding Service here for the past 10 years, he was interested in wildlife and conservation, serving as president of the Carlsbad Wildlife Association. He was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church, the Elks Lodge, Knights of Columbus, Carlsbad Farm and Ranch Improvement Association, the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce and the Otis Farm & Livestock Bureau.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Katherine Arrington, of the family residence, 215 James Street; two sons, Lonnie and Donnie Arrington, both of Carlsbad; four brothers, Claude and Homer T. Arrington, both of Carlsbad; H.P. Arrington, Albuquerque, N.M.; W.D. Arrington, Phoenix, Ariz.; and three sisters, Mrs. Charley Jones, Mrs. Earl Tidwell and Mrs. Bert Titus, all of Carlsbad.
