Funeral services for Alma Jane Adair, 83, Wills Point, were held at 11 a.m. November 29 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Bro. Ray Bailey officiating.
Mrs. Adair passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2010 in a Sulphur Springs nursing home.
She was born July 31, 1927 in Kaufman the daughter of Leonard G. Moore and Edna Reynolds Moore. She was raised and educated in Scurry-Rosser, graduating high school in 1945. After graduation she married Alvis Thomas Adair in Dallas. She had a long career in law enforcement, serving as one of the first women police officers on the Dallas Police Department. She was a police investigator, beginning her law enforcement career in 1956, retiring in 1981. Jane moved to the Tawakoni community in 1969. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband in 1998.
Survivors include her son, Stephen Adair, Wills Point; daughter, Sharon Estep, Gainesville, Florida; brothers, Granville Moore and wife Diane, Duncanville, and Randall Gene Moore and wife Kim, Emory; sister, Doris Hurley, Lindale; grandsons, Glen Holt and wife, Cassandra and David Estep; granddaughters, Stephanie Olson, Cynthia Ann Moore and Deborah Karr; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held for RETIRED INVESTIGATOR JANE ADAIR, #1359, on Monday, November 29, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at the Ingram Funeral Home, 1462 East Quinlan Parkway, Quinlan, Texas.
