SPRINGFIELD - Faye J. (Richards) Woods, 70, of Beacon Circle, Springfield, died Wednesday at home. Born in Springfield on July 19, 1932, she was a lifelong resident. She was the daughter of the late Aime and Beatrice (Bassett) Ritchotte. For many years Faye, along with her husband Stanley J. Woods, Jr., managed the A & W Restaurants in Western Massachusetts. She later worked for the Copperhouse Restaurant. Faye was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church. She leaves 4 children, Deborah Galipeau and her husband Ronald of Chicopee, Cheryl Witek and her husband Joseph of Chicopee, Bill Woods and his fiancee Donna Clapp of Springfield, and Darlene LaMotte of Enfield, CT; 4 grandchildren, Colin Knurek of Springfield, US Army PFC, Michael Knurek of Chicopee, Jennifer LaMotte of Enfield, CT, and Jessica Woods of Holyoke; 2 great-grandchildren, Brianna and Madison Chamberlain; her former husband, Stanley J. Woods, Jr. of Pennsylvania; 4 brothers and sisters, Edward Richards of Longmeadow, Jacqueline Kenney of Springfield, Genevieve Richards of California, and Ace Richards of Michigan; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Ryan Woods, also by 6 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from the Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Parker St., Springfield. Burial will be in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield. Calling hours are Friday, 4-8 p.m.
