Mr. Chester Lee Howell, 87, of Moss Point, was born on January 2, 1926 in Walthall County, Ms. He went to be with the Lord on August 8, 2013. Mr. Howell fought for his country in World War II and proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Sproston DD-577. He and his wife have been members of the Escatawpa Baptist Church for more than 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Inez Howell, granddaughter, Pam and his sister, Earline Wilson. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Ruby Brown Howell of Moss Point; daughter, Glenda (Rickey) Cummins of Moss Point; granddaughter, Kimberly (Drew) Adams of Ocean Springs; great granddaughter, Anna Beth Adams of Ocean Springs; sister, Jo Ready of Gautier and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Holder-Wells Funeral Home on August 9, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Holder-Wells Funeral Home Chapel on August 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Todd Bowen officiating. Following the service, interment will be at Jackson County Memorial Park.
