Travis was born in Grayson Co. Their parents migrated to Kentucky from VA. Travis Sr. is listed on the 1810 census, Fleming Co. living near his father in law George Eskridge. In 1811, they were in Grayson Co. Travis Sr. died sometime between 1815-1819.
