Mr. Francis L.J. Beard, age 78,
died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at
Baptist Hospital.
He was preceded in death by
his wife, Evelyn Bennett Beard.
He was born in Maury County
to the late Simon Peter and pau-
line Thurman Beard. He made his
home in the Bethesda Communi-
ty where he was a farmer. He was
a veteran of the U.S. Marines.
Mr. Beard is survived by broth-
ers, Buford Beard and wife Leola
of Spring Hill and Mike Beard and
wife Patsy of Spring Hill; sisters,
Rachel Beard of Columbia, Doris
Beard of Columbia, and Jewell
Wiley of Lawrenceburg; several
nieces & nephews; and special
pets, Rusty and Lady.
Funeral services were conduct-
ed at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec.
21, 2005 at Williamson Memorial
Funeral Home, with Keith Tucker
officiating. Burial followed in Wil-
liamson Memorial Gardens. Neph-
ews served as pallbearers.
