CARTHAGE -- Funeral services for Mina Massey Grisham, 87, of Tullahoma, and a longtime resident of Cookeville, were held at 2 p.m. today, Monday, Nov. 29, at Kilgore Funeral Home in Tullahoma.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30 at Dickens Cemetery at Maggart.
Mrs. Grisham died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, in Harton Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.
She was born July 21, 1923, one of three children of the late Arthur Seldon (Jack) Massey and Ettie Gentry Massey of Elmwood.
Mr. and Mrs. Grisham were longtime residents of Cookeville, where she retired from Wilson Sporting Goods factory and where she was a member of the Summerfield United Methodist Church.
In 2005, she relocated to Tullahoma to be near her only sister. In Tullahoma she was a member of the Wesley Heights United Methodist Church.
On Oct. 4, 1940, she married Alf Grisham of the Maggart Community, who preceded her in death on August 8, 1998, after almost 58 years of marriage.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Hugh Massey.
Memorial donations may be made to Wesley Heights United Methodist Church in Tullahoma.
Revs. Jim Fields and Billy Ray Panter officiated at the services at the funeral home.
Rev. Jim Fields will officiate at the services at the cemetery.
