Mr. Stephen Arnold, who has been confined to his bed for several months with complications, passed away, Monday Aprl 16th, in the 76th year of his age.
Mr. Arnold was a native of Franklin County, but had been a citizen of this county for more han fifty years.
In 1861 he was married to Mrs. Amanda Settie Bickers, who proceded his in death about 21 years. He had four children who survive him:Mrs. J.R. Paxton of this city;Mr. Philip D. Arnold of Lexington; Mr. J.F. Arnold of his county and Charles G. Arnold, of Herrington, Kansas.
funeral services were conducted at Hebron Church by Mr. J. Abbott, Wednesday, April 18,at 11 o'clock. The interment was in the Hebron Cemetery.
Mr. Arnold was one of the older citizens of his community. One by one they are crosssing over the river to rest upon the other side.
