Jennie M. Reynolds, 90, of Knoxville, formerly of Oneida, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, at 1:55 p.m. at the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville. She was born Dec. 4, 1911, in McDonough County, the daughter of Arthur B. and Mary Elizabeth West Shannon. She married Walter Earl "Shorty'' Reynolds, Sr. on Aug. 26, 1934, in Henderson Grove. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1981. Survivors include three sons, Walter E. (Sandra) Reynolds, Jr. of Galesburg; Donald E. (Sharon) Reynolds, Galva and Sam B. (Karen) Reynolds of Oneida.; three daughters, Wilma (John) Hessler of Galesburg; Donna (David) Morgan of Oneida and Nancy (Richard) McKay of Gulfport, Miss.; one step-daughter, Betty (Lloyd) Holmes of Carthage; one brother Ivan Shannon of Galesburg; one sister, Jessie Foster of Macomb; twenty grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren. She was reared and educated near Macomb, attending the Crown Point Country School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Oneida United Methodist Church in Oneida. She was a former member of the Oneida Senior Citizens. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 11 a.m. at Hurd Hendricks Funeral Home in Oneida with the Rev. Donald Reynolds officiating. Burial was in Oneida Cemetery in Oneida. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Wing of the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville, or to the Oneida United Methodist Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
