At one time he was the editor of the Sentinal Newspaper at White Sulphur Springs and published a weekly for the Greenbrier Military School in Lewisburg, WV. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge and the Lewisburg Methodist Church. On 6 Sep 1924 married Gladys Laura Morgan, a student nurse at Greenbier Valley Hospital in Ronceverte, WV. They had 7 children and after living in Lewisburg and Beckley moved to Columbus, Ohio in September 1950. Shortly after moving to Columbus Clark became ill and died March 6, 1951. Gladys started to work at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Columbus and worked there until she became ill. She died in Columbus on January 2, 1965. Clark and Gladys are buried at Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg, WV
