John William Bell, 65, a farmer, died Tuesday at his residence of a heart ailment.
He was born Sept. 27, 1883 in Heber, Wasatch county, a son of John Laidlaw and Nettie Johnson Bell, and attended public schools there.
On Dec. 23, 1908, in Heber, he married Melissa McAffie, moved to Park City, Summit county and later to Salt Lake City;, where he resided for several years. Mr. Bell then moved to Arcadia, Duchesne county, where he engaged in farming, but ill health caused him to return to Salt Lake City where he resided since.
Survivors include his widow, Salt Lake City; three sons, Telden (Ted), Eldon and Max Bell, Salt Lake City; five daughters, Mrs. Nona Holgate and Mrs. Grace Larsen, Arcadia; Mrs. Lucille Solmensen, Myton, Duchesne county; Mrs.Shirley Kohnhorst and Mrs. Wilda Burt, Salt Lake City.
Also surviving are a brother, Albert Bell, Albion, Ida.; five sisters, Mrs. Pearl Cummings, Mrs. Lily Fraughton, Mrs. Mabel Clyde and Mrs. Fern Murdock, Heber, and Mrs. Hazel Hicken, Provo.
