Stanley Walter Bujak, 80, died November 26, 2010, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls, with the Rev. Howard Chapman, minister of pastoral care, officiating. Interment and full military honors will follow at the Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
Mr. Bujak was born August 13, 1930, in Port Richmond, Virginia, to Walter Bujak and Katherine Rose Wolf Bujak. On September 5, 1998, he and Vineta Harrison were married in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Mr. Bujak joined the Army Air Corp at 17 years of age. He served in the Korean War and was awarded a Bronze Star during the Vietnam War. He was a Retired Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force having proudly served his country for 23 years. Throughout his life he worked with chaplains to mentor airmen. He and his wife frequently hosted airmen from Sheppard Air Force Base for holidays in their home.
Mr. Bujak retired from Longhorn Trailer and Body, where he was known as "Stan the Man." He was currently employed by Pruitt Ford where he worked for the past ten years. He was a frequent blood donor and volunteer at the Red Cross. He also donated numerous hours of service to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
Mr. Bujak was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Billie Jean Towery Bujak. Survivors include: wife; Vineta Harrison Bujak, daughter; Kathrine Rose Bujak Phillips and husband, Victor; sons; Garry Otha Bujak, Walter Eugene Bujak and wife, Joyce Groves Bujak, Randall Harrison and wife, Alicia, Cameron Harrison, and wife, Theresa: grandchildren: Timothy and Morgan Bujak, Hannah, Adam and Daniel Harrison, Sara Holcomb, and husband, Bill, Kristan Harrison, Dustin and Korie Bujak; two sisters; Julia and Stella, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Stan's testimony to everyone he met throughout his life were the words, "God loves you."
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Monday at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
