Frances Judith Williams married Alonzo Bullock in 1874 and they lived in Jefferson Co., Illinois. Together they had two children: Walter Bullock (Oct 14, 1877 - Aug 5, 1948) and Oscar Casey Bullock (Aug 4, 1881 - Sep, 1 1954) In 1882, when their second baby was only eight months old, Alonzo died. By the next year, Frances and her two small children journeyed to Pierce Co., in the Territory of Washington, where her sister Mary Kelley lived. (Eventually, eight of the ten siblings moved out West to Washington.) By about 1886, Frances married again, to John Duncan McGregor. He had been married and also had two small children. His first wife, Nancy "Nannie" Kelley, died one month after their second child was born. So John and Frances married and made a home for these four small children, and together had four more children, George "Jim", Hazel, Henry, and Eva. John's first wife Nannie Kelley may have been related to Frances' brother-in-law, Mary's husband William Burton Kelley. This is probably how Frances and John met.
