WILLIAM KYLE DIED AT HIS RESIDENCE HERE LAST NIGHT

William J. KYLE passed away last night at his home, 306 West Adams street, after an illness of about a year and a half. His condition was not considered serious until the past week.

Mr. KYLE was born in the town of Portgiemone, Antrim county, Ireland, February 12th, 1859. He was the son of William J. KYLE and Rebecca MCCELLAND. At the age of nine years he emigrated to Kingston, Canada, with his mother, and at the age of fifteen years he came to Jefferson county and located on a farm four miles southeast of Fairfield.

On December 17th, 1895 he was united in marriage to Mary ROTH and for twelve years they lived on their farm sourtheast of Farifield, but on account of failing health Mr. and Mrs. KYLE moved to Fairfield. Mr. KYLE then took up work with the Louden Machinery Co. and later was employed at the Dexter Co. until April, 1917 when his health filed (sic. failed) and from that time Mr. KYLE has gradually grown weaker until the Master called him to his greater home.

Mr. KYLE was a most devout christian bing (sic. being) a member of the Prebyterian church and a most consciencious workman. His many friends will miss him in their circle of friendship and extend their sympathy to his devoted wife and sister Mrs. A. GILLAM who are left to mourn his loss.

The funeral services will be held from the home at 308 West Adams on Tuesday at three o'clock, under the charge of Rev. H. A. Messer and interment made in Evergreen cemetery.
