Mrs. Nerren was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed reading and eating Hershey's dark chocolate. She served her country with the United States Women's Army Corp. Mrs. Nerren was a lifetime member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Wallace of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Betty Sue and Donald Gainer of Groveton; and a number of other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nerren was preceded in death by her husband, Artist N. Nerren; son-in-law, Carl B. Wallace; and sisters, Hilda Parrish, Grace Brevell, Lena York and Ruth Nix.
Mrs. Nerren's family wishes to extend special thanks to her special niece, Koochie Carlisle, for the many visits to her and the loving care shown to her.
Pallbearers will be Ray Manley, Ray Loving, and Morgan Butler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Nerren's memory may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904; or the charity of your choice.
Services for Mrs. Nerren will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2012 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Kim Bartel officiating. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time on Sunday afternoon at Gipson Funeral Home.
