The remains of Allen Dieter who passed away at the Herman Higgins home Tuesday night was brought to the Godager Funeral Home Wednesday. Services at the Methodist church Friday morning with burial at the Boscobel Cemetery.
Allen Leslie Dieter was born in the town of Richwood, Richland County, Wis., , March 18, 1876 and died at Muscoda, Wis., November 7, 1934, at the age of 58, 7 months and 20 days. He was the son of Frederick and Mary Dieter, and was one of a family of sixteen children of whom six are still living. February 22, 1900, he was united in marriage to Pearl Ware of Eagle Corners, Wis., and to this union three children were born. Left to mourn his departure are the children, Horace Dieter of Rockford, Ill., Delos Dieter of Boscobel, Wis., and Grace (Mrs. Raymond Dodge) of Blue Mounds, Wis.; five grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. August Keehn of Richland Center, Wis.; Mrs. Jacob Miller of Greenwood, Wis.; Mrs. Horace Ware of Boscobel, Wis.; Mrs. Kate Elliott of Monteca, Calif., ,besides numerous other relatives and a host of friends. All of Mr. Dieter's life was spent in the community where he was born with the exception of six years in California. Owing to ill health he returned to Wisconsin about a year ago. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church in Blue River and remained a firm believer in his Master to the end. Funeral services were held at the Blue River church Friday morning, conducted by the minister, Rev. W. F. Tomlinson.
Burial was at Boscobel.
