Mrs. Hattie Zehner

Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie May Zehner, 78, resident of this area for many years who died Thursday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Higginbotham of Woodburn, were conducted Saturday afternoon at Ringo-Cornwall Funeral chapel with Rev. Edward Baldwin officiating. Burial was in Belle Passi cemetery.

Mrs. Zehner was born at Caledonia, Mich., September 6, 1875, and with her parents, John and (sic) Elizabeth Vrendenburg, came to Woodburn in 1887. She was married to Solomon Zehner in 1897 and resided here since that time. Her husband died August 5, 1953. She was a member of the Woodburn Church of God.

Survivors include three sons, Ora S. Zehner of Colorado and Arthur R. Zehner of Hubbard; seven daughters, Mrs. Nora Jane McKay of Medford; Mrs. Ruby S. Phares of North Richland, Wash., Mrs. Virginia Miller of Florence, Mrs. Alice Lounsberry of Pasadena, Cal., Mrs. Florence Calif of Hood River, Mrs. Julis Fisher of Canby and Mrs. Thomas (Lucille) Higginbotham of Woodburn; a brother, Verne Vredenburg of Detroit, Mich.; a sister, Eunice Hayes of Portland; 29 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
