Born in Gallaway, W.Va., Mr. Barwick came to Manatee County from Punta Gorda in 1955. He attended Stetson Law School.He was a retired drywall contractor. He was a member of the Elks and the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle "Sissy"; a daughter, Patricia Tarrant of Bradenton; two sisters, Suzanne Honnert of Cincinnati, and Etheleen Nelson of Tavares; a brother, Ron, of Warrenton, Va.; and five grandchildren.
Bill was the adopted son of Frank Barwick.
