Gerald "Jerry" Caster, 76 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Sunday, November 21, 2010 at his home in Fayetteville.
He was born April 15, 1934 in Modesto, CA to Berton Forest Caster and Gladys Irene (Pearson) Caster.

He owned and operated Stanislaus Floor Covering in Modesto, CA for a number of years with stores in several locations. After leaving the floor covering business, Jerry made many friends over the years doing home remodeling and repairs. He was known for his ability to fix anything that was broken and was happiest with a tool in his hand. His early interests involved motorcycle racing and building and racing cars. A former member of the Lions Club, Jerry served as a Navy Hospital Corpsman during the Korean Conflict and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star among other medals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter; Dee Ann Caster, one sister; Junie Lee Caster, and one brother; John Dee Caster.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra R. Caster, one daughter; Karen Lee Caster of Cresskill, NJ, brother and sister-in-law Dean L. and JoAnn Caster of Salida, CA, his sister in law; Glenda Croley of Fayetteville, AR, a nephew and several nieces.

Jerry's good nature, sense of humor and unwavering calmness was a source of strength and inspiration to those who loved him. He will be forever missed.

Funeral service was at 11:00 AM, November 26 in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Dr. Don Renshaw officiated.

Honorary pallbearers are Jim Anderson, Alvin Chilton, David Jones, Gary Morgan, Danny Pianalto and Terry Siebenmorgen.

Burial with Military Honors was held at Acacia Memorial Park in Modesto CA.
