HANORA KENNEDY (Knockane)(b. 1783/84- d. 12/07/1875) died aged 91yrs married PIERSE SMIDDY (Ballyhonock) (b. 1780/81- d. 15/10/1827) died age 46yrs.

They moved to Ballymackeigh/makeagh more? They had a family of ?8 sons and 1 daughter.

Their children/paístí were
1. Rev. RICHARD D. Canon SMIDDY p.p. (Aghada)
(20/07/1811-11/06/1878) died aged 67yrs.
He became a priest and was ordained in Paris in 1837. He ministered in Killeagh (1838), Glountane (1839), Youghal (1840), Charleville (1851), Mallow (1853), Aghada as Parish Priest (1857-1878). Buried in Aghada.
From his ordination in 1838, until the time his Mother (Hanora) died in 1875, he kept a diary. The original is in the Diocesan Archives in Cobh but a transcript has been made.

2. JOHN SMIDDY (1812/13-25/03/1851) died aged 38yrs.

3. MICHAEL SMIDDY (1819/20-(03/03/1857) died aged 38yrs approx
He was the first to invent and construct the fan, or machine, now so generally used for blowing the kitchen fires in Imokilly. (Diary of Very Rev. Richard Canon Smiddy)

4. LAWRENCE SMIDDY (1826/27-22/01/1847) died aged 20yrs.

5. PIERSE SMIDDY (1828/29-05/12/1854) died aged 25yrs.
He was the chief engineer on a steamboat trading to Canada and died there in an accident between Detroit and Lake Superior.
