OBITUARY

Wednesday, December 22, 1886
DIED - Charles KINDIG, one of the early settlers of this county, died from dropsy on last Thursday. Two weeks ago accompanied by his son-in-law, Charles RICHTER, he went to Hot Springs, Arkansas, but only remained a short time. Seeing that nothing short of death could relieve his sufferings, they returned home. The funeral was largely attended. (GRANT)

NOTE: Charles, b. 1815 York Co Penn, to Daniel and Susan Kindig, of Penn, removed to Wayne Co Ohio when a child.
He m. in the Spring of 1836, Ele(a)nor Allen (b.1813 Trumbull Co Ohio), and removed to Wisconsin in 1839 for two years, and then to Henry Twp, Fulton co Ind, still later.
Children b. to Charles & Eleanor (Allen) Kindig:
1) Mary A., b. 1837 Ohio, m. Charles C. Richter (see John Richter, this cem.
2) Francis Orville, b.1856 Ohio, m. Alfaretta Nye
3) Nelson C. Kindig.
