Phyllis Isabelle Alger, 80, of Stanley, died on Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at Page Memorial Hospital.
She was born on June 8, 1927, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Marion Arleyton and Neva Vera Painter Young.
On Oct. 21, 1947, she married Thurman Leo Alger, who died on March 4, 1986.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth L. Alger of Shenandoah and Terry A. Alger of Stanley; two brothers, Marion 'Bob' B. P. Young of Danville, and Jennings L. Young of Shenandoah; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas R. Young.
Burial was in the Stanley Advent Cemetery.
