He was born February 15, 1919 in Aurora, Utah to Thomas Henry and Amanda Sophie Petersen Cloward. He married Christena Geneva Allen May 7, 1956 in Ely, Nevada. Veteran of WW II. Member of the LDS Church. Survived by wife, Provo; stepchildren, Ronald Jay and Mary Ericksen, Arlene Emmons, all Provo; Leona and Clifford Oryall, Ardella and John Emmons, all Payson; Daniel James and Lela Ericksen, Salem; Anita and Hyrum Thorsen, Salina; 31 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Mrs. L. G. (Norma) Madsen, Marysville; Mrs. David Eugene (LaPreal) Russell, San Bruno, Calif.; Aline Dequaine, Green Bay, Wis. Preceded in death by four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 11, 1991, at 12 noon, in the Salina 2nd LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Wednesday evening, 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial with Military Honors accorded by the Salina American Legion Post # 36 will be in the Aurora Cemetery.
