R. F. (Bob) Wright, 97, pioneer Mayfieldian and one of the county's oldest citizens, died at his home on South Ninth street at 8:45 o'clock Monday night. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Byrn Funeral Home, Rev. William C. Aden, officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
Mr. Wright is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Wright, and a daughter, Mrs. Mary Breisford. He was the father of the late Walter Wright, prominent Mayfield tobacconist and was himself a prominent tobacconist in Mayfield for many years before his retirement about twenty years ago.
Pallbearers will be Edwin Wilson, Albert Wilson, Simpson Hayden, Pryor Sutherlin, Jack Stewart and Sam Smith.
