Margaret Allen, 89, nee Kunz, of Pflugerville and formerly of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, at Round Rock Medical Center.
A funeral mass was celebrated Saturday, Feb. 7, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Tony Vilano officiating. Dorothy Weinheimer was the organist. Interment followed in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Mrs. Allen was born March 31, 1914, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of John Kunz and Franciska Nebgen Kunz. She worked as a supervisor in the food industry.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, including Gerald and Jennie Allen or Pflugerville; Chuck and Pat Mechler of Portland, OR, and a son-in-law, Frederick (Freddy) Mosel of Fredericksburg. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances, Mrs. Frederick Mosel; a brother, Alfred Kunz, and two sisters, Hilda Jung and Alvina Weinheimer.
Memorials may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice or to the charity of choice.
Pallbearers included David Weinheimer, Kevin Willis, Ernest Stutts, Ken Kunz, A.F. Weinheimer and Hilmar Weinheimer, Jr.
