Deloris Kelly, 64, of McAlester, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at McAlester Regional Health Center. Funeral arrangements are pending with Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.

Deloris Faye Kelly, 64, of McAlester, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at McAlester Regional Health Center. Born July 18, 1946, in McAlester, she was the daughter of George Charley and Mary Ola (Hartsfield) Short. She grew up here and had lived in this area all her life. She was a nurses aide and worked at Blevins Nursing Home for 25 years and at Heritage Hills for 10 years. She had also done some private health care work. In her spare time she loved to read, draw and paint. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Dale McGuire, of Haileyville; two sons, Roy Young and his wife, Irene, of Eufaula, and Michael Young and Shannon Bowman, of Collinsville. Also, nine grandchildren, Robin Walker and her husband, Jonathan, of Hartshorne, Seth Peasha, of McAlester, Derek McGuire and Heather Hodges, of Stigler, Aerial Young, of Hartshorne, Andrea Young, of Haileyville, Allison McGuire, of Haileyville, Megan Young, of Haileyville, Alyssia Young, of Hartshorne, and Cassidy Young, of Haileyville; six great-grandchildren. And, one sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Alvin Sistrunk, of Hartshorne; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Jackie Short, Sacramento, Calif., and Rick and Vera Short, Houston; two nephews, Allan Dale Sistrunk and Chuck Short, and numerous other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Charles Eugene Short; two grandchildren, Skylar Z. Young I, and Anthony T. Young, and two great-grandchildren, Colt Cash McGuire and Hailey Lynn Young. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Tannehill Cemetery Pavilion with Cardell Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Tannehill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
