Francisco S Cruz, 74 died this morning at a St. Joseph hospital.He married Concepcion Cruz, They had a son Frank Cruz and a daughter Guadalupe Cruz Hernandez.He later married Victoria Almanza Cruz.His home was at 426 East Missouri Ave
He was born in Penjamo,Mexico, and came to St Joseph Mo. in 1918. He retired in 1967 from the Union Pacific Terminal Railroad.He was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Victoria Cruz; a son, Frank Cruz, St Joseph; a daughter, Mrs Rosendo Hernandez, St. Joseph; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 stepsons, Edward Almanza, George Almanza, Thomas Almanza, all of St. Joseph; five stepdaughters, Mrs Robert Deaton and Mrs Robert Soper, both of St. Joseph; Mrs Neil Massie, Jamestown, Ohio; Mrs John Owens,Sunnymead, Ca., Mrs. Lloyd Cridlebaugh, Platte Woods; two brothers, Alfonza Cruz, and Jesse Cruz, both of St. Joseph; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Montemore, Mrs. Mauricio Barbosa, Mrs. Mercedes Rocha and Mrs. Socorro Rodriguez, all of St. Joseph. Burial at Mount Olivet.
