She was the retired owner/operator of Kennedy's Grocery Stores, Harrisburg. She was a member of the former Trinity Lutheran Church, Shipoke, Harrisburg; loved to crochet and knit; and enjoyed fishing, bowling, reading, and Bingo.
Idy was born in Harrisburg to the late Frank and Florence (Dredett) Kautz and was the widow of William Kennedy.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews including Dollie Zell of Mechanicsburg, Rita Keim of Mechanicsburg, Robert Kautz of DE and Terry Paxton of Enola; three great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, November 26, 2010 in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.
