Frank W. Austin, 67, former Neosho resident, died Monday morning at Oxnard, California. He suffered a heart attack while driving home from his work at an oil field.
Mr. Austin was born September 6, 1890 near Newtonia and resided in Newton County until 1912, at which time he moved to California.
He is survived by his wife, Nina, of the home, one sister, Mrs. Floyd McMahan, 800 Highland Place, two brothers, John H., 335 S. Washington, and Roy E., of Oklahoma City.
The body will arrive in Neosho at 1:35 p.m. Friday and will lie in state at the Clark Funeral Home from Friday evening until Saturday noon.
Graveside rites will be concucted Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Johnston officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Clark Funeral Home.
