Randal "Randy" Joe Adams, age 60, of Mannford, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2010.

He was born on January 13, 1950, in Colony, Kansas, the son of John Quincy Adams, Jr. and Mae M. (Ross) Adams.

He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Pittsburg State University, and furthered his education obtaining a Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas Law School and Chartered Financial Consultant certification from The American College.

He married Gerrie (Duvaul) Torkleson on June 5, 1983, blending two families into one.

Randy was a Certified Public Accountant.

He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was most often joined in these activities by his sons and grandsons. His last days were spent deer hunting in Guthrie, OK, with his son John and grandson Justin.

He was an active member of the Eastern Oklahoma chapter of Quality Deer Management Association.

He is survived by his wife, Gerrie Adams of Mannford, OK; three sons, John Adams of Guthrie, OK; Craig Torkleson and wife Tammy of Sand Springs, OK; Chris Torkleson and wife Melissa, also of Sand Springs, OK; and seven grandsons, Justin Adams of Guthrie, OK; Kyle, Alex, Scott and Isaac Torkleson, and Cody and Caleb Torkleson, all of Sand Springs, OK.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, J.Q. Adams on March 8, 2010, and Mae Adams on October 28, 2005.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 27, 2010, at the Kincaid-Selma United Methodist Church in Kincaid, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Kincaid Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kincaid Fair Association and left in care of the funeral home.

The Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett, KS is in charge of arrangments.
