MRS. RHODA S. FERGUSON, 83, of Rt. 1, Blue Ridge Summit, widow of Amos E. Ferguson, died Tuesday, April 22 at the Washington County Hospital.
She was born near Friends Creek, Frederick County. She was a daughter of the late William and Amanda Hardman Kipe. Most of her life was lived in Harbaugh's Valley. She had lived in Blue Ridge Summit for the last 10 years. Mrs Ferguson was a member of the Thurmont United Methodist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Naomi Harbaugh, Mrs. Helen Cox, Mrs. Lola DeWees and Mrs. Mona Mae Staley, all of Blue Ridge Summit, Mrs. Ellen DeWees of Ocean City, and Mrs. Bernice Warren of Highfield, also surviving are 21 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday, April 25 at 3 p.m. in the Grove Funeral Home in Waynesboro. The Rev. Claude H. Corl will officiate; burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery in Thurmont.
