E. H. (Dick) Taylor, 83, a former Dallas meat market operator, died Wednesday at a Lancaster convalescent home. Services will be Monday. Inman Douglas, reader. Burial in the Old Oak Cliff Cemetery.

He was the last survivor of 12 children of the pioneer Dallas County family of Harvey Taylor, near Lancaster.

Born in the family home a few miles from Lancaster, Taylor was a life-long resident of Dallas County. He operated a meat market, Taylor's Market, at Tenth and Lancaster in Oak Cliff for many years. Most of his life, he lived near Lancaster. Survived by a daughter, Mrs. (Dixie) Inman H. Douglas of Dallas and two granddaughters.
