He was the last survivor of 12 children of the pioneer Dallas County family of Harvey Taylor, near Lancaster.
Born in the family home a few miles from Lancaster, Taylor was a life-long resident of Dallas County. He operated a meat market, Taylor's Market, at Tenth and Lancaster in Oak Cliff for many years. Most of his life, he lived near Lancaster. Survived by a daughter, Mrs. (Dixie) Inman H. Douglas of Dallas and two granddaughters.
