She was born March 20, 1923 in Kenefic, Oklahoma to Amos Oscar and Mary Ellen (Bray) Smith.She was married to the late Chester A.Ridley on May 17, 1941 in Durant, OK and he passed away on March 3, 1973,and was a member of the Lake Dallas Church of Christ. She was a Seamstress.
A Graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010, with Kent Hall, officiating at Trinity Cemetery in Denton. The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton for visitation on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 From 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Mrs. Ridley is survived by three sons Roy Ridley, of Richardson, TXLonnie Ridley of Balch Springs, TX and Billy Don Ridley of Amarillo, TX, a sister Elizabeth Dowell of Hillsboro, TXand fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Allen LaVerne Ridley.
