Anthony Ray Barlup, 23, of 302 W. Fourth St., died Wednesday, April 15, 1998, at Washington County Hospital. Born Aug. 13, 1974, in Waynesboro, he was the son of Brenda L. Barlup Kneasel of Hagerstown and the late Lynn Gossert. He was taking courses at Hagerstown Junior College. Most recently, he was employed at Landis Tool Co., Waynesboro, in the maintenance department. He was a social member of Joe Stickell American Legion Post 15, Waynesboro. He attended Otterbein United Brethren in Christ Church, Waynesboro.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Stephen T. Kneasel of Greencastle; one son, Anthony Ray Barlup II at home; two sisters, Andrea Kneasel and Amy Jo Kneasel, both of Greencastle; two brothers, Christopher Kneasel of Waynesboro and Austin Kneasel of Hagerstown; maternal grandparents, Darrell and Mary Louise Barlup of Waynesboro; maternal great-grandmothers, Irene Funk and Ethel Barlup, both of Waynesboro.

Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Pastor K. Allan Mummert will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery near Quincy, Pa.
