Harold T. Bingman, 92, of Carmi passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010 at 2:12 am at his residence near Carmi. Harold was born July 31, 1917 in Hawthorne Township the son of Terry and Minnie B. (Ackerman) Bingman. He married Elah F. McReynolds and she preceded him in death on November 5, 1987. He then married Berniece (Taylor) Ellison on August 5, 1990 and she preceded him in death on November 10, 2001. Harold was a grain and livestock farmer and a member of Georgia General Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Harold is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Carmeta Bingman of Carmi, a daughter-in-law, Connie Bingman of Carmi; a brother and sister-in-law, Louis and Vonda Bingman of Carmi; four grandchildren, Justin, Jacque, Nathan and Brent Bingman and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Bingman; a sister, Mildred Barbre and two brothers, Arthur and Clinton Bingman. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Rev. Harold Hughes officiating. Burial will be at Kuykendall Cemetery near Carmi. Friends may call on Tuesday, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home.
