The Chico Record, Sunday Morning, October 8, 1922, pg 1 col 4: Los Molinos Boy Dies Suddenly at Hospital. Earl Lane Apperson, son of Mrs. and Mrs. H.H. Apperson, prominent stock raisers of Los Molinos, passed away at the Enloe hospital shortly after 8 o’clock last night. The lad was a native of Chico and was born April 3, 1918. He is survived by his parents. No arrangements have been made for the funeral, which is in charge of Bicknell and Moore.

The Chico Record, Tuesday Morning, October 10, 1922, pg 4 col 5: Funeral Services for the Late Earl Apperson Held. Funeral services for Earl Lane Apperson, four year old son of Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Apperson of Los Molinos, who died at the Enloe hospital Saturday night, were conducted from the Bicknell and Moore chapel at 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon. Rev. Galen Lee Rose, pastor of the Christian church, officiated. Interment was made in the Chico [sic: Pine Creek] cemetery.
