Sarah Brewster Edwards, 89, of Weston died June 20, 1997, in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, Weston, after a long illness.
She was assistant to the dean of women and served on the Board of Trustees at Greenbrier College, Lewisburg, and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Colonial Dames of America.
Surviving: son, Gene H. Edwards Jr. of Weston; daughter, Anne B. Byrdy of Silver Spring, Md.; five grandchildren.
Service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Weston, with the Rev. Philip Houghton officiating. Burial will be in Broad Run Cemetery, Jane Lew. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Boyle Funeral Home, Weston. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 206 Second St., Weston, W.Va. 26452.
