Daniel Merrit Whisennand was born April 22, 1861 in Buchanan County, Iowa. He married Louisa Schuman January 1, 1884 in Buchanan County, Iowa. Louisa was born January 3, 1862 in Dubuque County, Iowa to William Schuman and Susan Harmon. Daniel died October 19, 1886 and the baby died in December. They are buried in the Upper Spring Grove Cemetery with Daniel's parents. Louisa died October 30, 1888 at age 26 of consumption. She is buried in Circle Grove with her parents. Charles Whisennand is the only one from this entire family to carry on the family name of Whisennand from this branch of Whisennand's. Daniel and Louisa were parents of two sons.
