Elkhart Lake—(Special)—William J. Kasper, 74, died at this home here Sunday after a lingering illness. He was well known in the community where he had lived for the past 20 years. Mr. Kasper was born March 6, 1864, in the town of Rhine, and at the age of 24 he left for work in the state of Iowa. On March 5, 1892 he married Miss Lena Lorenson of Canton, S. D., and the couple moved to Hancock, Minn., where Mr. Kasper operated a cheese factory and farm for many years. In 1918 they returned to Elkhart Lake to make their home. Mr. Kasper was preceded in death by his wife who died June 6, 1927.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Albert Baumann of Elkhart Lake; two brothers, Henry, town of Rhine, and Philip, Bear Creek, and three sisters, Mrs. William Schmahl of Elkhart Lake; Mrs. W?????and Miss Katie Kasper, Manitowoc Wis.
Funeral services will be held at the Kasper home and at the First Evangelical and Reformed church. The Rev. F. J. Lowen?? Will officiate and burial will be at Elkhart Lake Cemetery.
