Martha Lou McCracken, 94, of Crossville, passed away Feb. 18, 2003. Funeral
services were conducted Feb. 21 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home. The
Rev. Carleton Thackston and the Rev. Fay Tucker officiated.
Mrs. McCracken was born June 2, 1908 in Sparta, TN, the daughter of William
T. Hale and Mary Lou Ann Anderson Hale.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her brother, Norman Hale of Sparta, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex McCracken; brothers, Hubert,
Tom and Eschol Hale; and sisters, Effie Johnson, Nancy Peters, Cora Johnson
and Stacy Reeves.
The family requests that memorials be made to the First United Methodist
Church of Crossville Building Fund or the Hale Reunion Memorial Fund, c/o
Norman Hale, 377 Grandview Drive, Sparta, TN 38583.
Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
