Mrs. Clara Pretlow Graves, 74, wife of David Armistead Graves, 411 Clifton street, died Sunday night at 11:40 o'clock at a local hospital. She was a native of Philadelphia but had spent all her life in this section. She was the daughter of the Late Dr. Isaac and Mrs. Virginia Williamson Cox. Mrs. Graves was a member of Memorial Methodist Church and the Woman's Christian Temperance Union. Besides her husband she is survived three daughters, Mrs. Frank Cederquist, Miss Marion Graves and Miss Ella Graves; one sister, Mrs. M.E. Sykes of Norfolk; two brothers, W.W. Cox, of Grand Rapids, Mich., and C.E. Cox of Alexandria; two grandchildren, Mrs. P.W. Wallick and David Cederquist, and one great-grandchild, Weldon Wallick.
The body will be carried from the J.R. Williams Funeral Home to the residence 411 Clifton street, for funeral services Wednesday afternoon, June 15, at 3 o'clock.
