Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rogers Funeral Home, Sadieville, for Roy Austin Marshall, 69, who died Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at his home in Scroggin Park, from an apparent heart attack.
Dr. Dan Moore and Brother Bruce Marston conducted the services and burial was in the Pythian Cemetery, Sadieville.
He was a native of Scott County; a retired farmer and a member of Georgetown Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Viola Fields Marshall; two daughters; Mrs. Elizabeth Southworth, Sadieville; Mrs. Doris Faye Cody, San Jose, Cal. one son, Harold Marshall, Georgetown; two sisters Mrs. Ethel Rutledge, Hamilton, Ohio; Mrs. Stella Carr, Lexington; one brother, Paskil Marshall, Georgetown; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Active pallbearers: Wayne and Demaree Price, Everett Lee Marshall, Jesse Weber Carr, J.B. Carr, Paul Rutledge, Therna Isaac.
